Letter from Club Foundation Chair

Seasons Greetings to all Ala Moana Rotarians, family and friends.

Rotarians share a powerful common trait:  they are compelled by a desire to share their good fortune with others, simply because it can make a positive impact on someone whose life has not been easy.  This is the true Spirit of Christmas.

Thank you all for your generous contributions to The Rotary Foundation throughout this past year and for your commitment to continue in the New Year.

Mini Golf Tournament Fundraiser
Watch for it, Next Spring

Get ready to tee off for a great cause! Your Foundation Committee and the club's Executive Board is thrilled to announce a unique and exciting fundraiser:

"Putting for a Cause" – a Miniature Golf Tournament!

While the details are still being worked out, we’re already gearing up for a fun-filled event slated for late April or early May. This is more than just a tournament—it’s an opportunity for everyone to come together, engage the community, and raise crucial funds for our club and The Rotary Foundation on behalf of our club.

We’re calling on every member to help make this event a smashing success! There are plenty of ways to pitch in:

Join a Sub-Committee: We’re actively recruiting members to lead or support sub-committees for planning, sponsorship outreach, auction item collection, event logistics, and more.

Sell Sponsorships and Entries: Whether it’s securing a sponsor for a hole or selling foursomes, everyone’s efforts will be key in ensuring a successful turnout.

Get Creative: Have ideas to make this event stand out? We want to hear them!

This is a chance to combine creativity, camaraderie, and service in a way that highlights what makes our club special. Let’s make “Putting for a Cause” not just a fundraiser, but a memorable experience that engages our members, friends, and community.

Stay tuned for more updates as plans come together, and don’t wait—reach out now to express interest in helping with your favorite aspect of this exciting project. Together, we can turn this idea into an unforgettable event!

Contact President-Elect Lani Paet or Club's Rotary Foundation Chair Rich Courson to sign up or share your ideas. Let’s make this tournament par for the Rotary course and a hole-in-one for our cause.
