In lieu of a weekly club meeting, the Rotary Club of Ala Moana will hold an installation ceremony to install incoming club president Sue Ann Lee and her executive officers and board for the Rotary year 2022/23 which starts on July 1, 2022.  The officers will be installed by the incoming District 5000 District Governor Randy Hart.  Outgoing club president Kevin McCrary will also announce club awards celebrating his Rotary year 2021/22.

Lunch will be offered at this event.  A headcount is required in advance; therefore, please RSVP by June 25, 2022.

Alexander Silvert is a retired public defender and author of "The Mailbox Conspiracy:  The Inside Story of the Greatest Corruption Case in Hawaiʻi History,".  Mr. Silvert was the attorney for Gerard Puana in the infamous "mailbox case' in the Louis and Katherine Kealoha case from 2013 to 2020.

Join us for a special club meeting.  Rotary International celebrates Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and we are pleased to recognize our two guest speakers being high-profile, local businesswomen:  Vicky Cayetano, Founder of United Laundry Services Inc., and Sherry Menor-McNamara, President & CEO-Chamber of Commerce Hawaii.  Both women will discuss their successful careers and their aspiration to run for public office.  Mrs. Cayeteno is a gubernatorial candidate and Mrs. Menor-McNamara is a candidate for Hawaii's Lt. Governor.

The Rotary Club of Ala Moana is "dark" (no club meeting) on the fourth Thursday of the month, July 28.  Let's "pau hana" just because...

Since this is a Membership/Social event, please invite someone you know who would like to learn more about our club and about Rotary.

The event is a no-host pau hana with pupus ($35.00 per person).  Seating is limited so reserve your (and your friend's) spot today.  We will be opening up the event to other Rotarians in District 5000 and to the public on Friday, July 22.

Join us for our first community service project for the new Rotary year 2022-23.

Our Club is working with Helping Hands Hawaii to take inventory and sort school supplies as part of their Ready to Learn program.  We need 5 volunteers on Friday, July 29th, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
 
Helping Hands Hawaii is located at 2100 N. Nimitz Hwy.  Wear comfortable clothing (if you have your Rotary Club of Ala Moana t-shirt, wear it), covered shoes, and face covering (mask) as well as bring water and a snack if you want.

He is the guest speaker for our weekly club meeting on Thursday, August 4, 2022.  We are pleased to have him on his official DG visit to Rotary clubs.

Rotary International and its individual Clubs are self-funded, meaning Club Members themselves either donate from their pockets or host fundraisers to undertake its community activities. Rotarian Mike Malaghan has been a dependable donor to Rotary International and the Ala Moana Rotary Club, and will talk with members about how a certain -- perfectly legal -- method of donation can ensure a lifetime income in return.
