Inspiring Service: A Vision for Rotary in 2025–26

Nancy Cabral, the 2025–26 District Governor for Rotary District 5000, made history as the first woman to join the Rotary Club of Hilo on January 29, 1988, and served as the club’s Centennial President during its 100th year in 2020–21. A dynamic community leader and entrepreneur, she built Day‑Lum Rentals & Management into the largest property management firm on Hawaiʻi Island, and operated the Coldwell Banker Day‑Lum Properties branch for nearly three decades.

 
In 2025, Nancy received the YWCA’s “Remarkable People” honor and was named one of Pacific Business News’ “Women Who Mean Business.” Additional accolades include the SBA Hawaiʻi Women-Owned Business of the Year.
 
She holds leadership roles in organizations including the Hawaiʻi State Land Use Commission, Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center, Hawai‘i Community Foundation, and the H.C. Shipman Foundation.
