The Rotary Club of Ala Moana is getting creative as we prepare for our Rotareo Fundraising Gala in October. Instead of simply asking supporters to donate bottles of wine, we are turning the collection into an event of its own. Sip, Shop & Stock the Wine Pull – A Wine Raiser combines shopping, fellowship, and giving—all while helping us build one of the gala’s fun fundraising experiences.
The evening takes us to Tory Burch at Ala Moana Center for an exclusive after-hours shopping experience. Guests can browse and shop while enjoying Prosecco, light pupus, and fellowship with Rotarians and friends. In return, we are asking guests to help us stock the Wine Pull by bringing a bottle of wine to donate. It’s a simple idea: enjoy a special night out and help turn one donated bottle into even more support for Rotary.
Those bottles will reappear on October 30 at the Rotareo—but with a twist. Gala guests will pay to select a mystery bottle from the Wine Pull without knowing exactly what they are getting. They might go home with a bottle close to the price they paid—or discover that they picked one worth considerably more. That element of surprise makes the Wine Pull part fundraiser, part game, and part treasure hunt.
Behind the fun is an important purpose. Rotareo is the Rotary Club of Ala Moana’s major fundraising event, helping provide resources for scholarships, local service projects, The Rotary Foundation, and other work that makes a difference in our community and beyond. Every ticket, sponsorship, auction bid—and mystery bottle of wine—helps us continue that work.
